CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES (scroll down for details and links to apply)
FOR ALL ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES:
The mission of the Northville Art House is simple: we want to bring the best of the arts to our community through exhibits and education. Our exhibitions are presented in our Exhibition Gallery and on our Emerging Artist Wall.
The Exhibition Committee reviews art submissions and plans the exhibitions approximately twice a year, in June and November, and will contact artist(s) as promptly as possible with their decision. Be advised that Art House exhibits are usually booked over a year in advance. Upon review, the Art House reserves the right to select all works exhibited in the Exhibition Gallery and on the Emerging Artist Wall.
The Art House encourages, but does not require, artists to sell their work. The Art House charges a 35% commission on all sales. The Art House exercises professional care in handling and protecting artwork at all times, however, insurance is the responsibility of the exhibiting artist(s). The Art House may publish images of all work for promotional and/or educational purposes.
For Terms and Conditions of Exhibitions and Sales, please read the Consignment Agreement.
The Art House provides the exhibiting artist(s) with publicity, postcards, hangs/installs the exhibit, handles the sale of work, and provides an opening reception on the First Friday of the month once an exhibition is scheduled.
The Artwork Presentation Recommendations for the exhibitions specifies that artwork to be exhibited should be in excellent condition. All 2D work must be framed and ready for hanging with a wire with the exception that canvases may be framed, wrapped or with painted sides. All 3D work must be free standing, stand on a pedestal, or hang securely on a wall or from the ceiling with a wire, rod or other hardware.
