Pastel Class with Julie Woodard

Updated fall 2017: Beginners will receive a variety of papers for pastels and can use pastel sticks and pencils supplied by the art house. Continuing pastel artists- bring your own preferred papers and pastels- a set of at least 24 pastel sticks plus pastel pencils, hard pastels, drawing boards or tabletop easels, rags or hand wipes, brushes, tortillons or other forms of blending tools, fixative (used sparingly outdoors), reference photos and/or sketches to paint from.

Continuing watercolor Class with Julie Woodard

Updated fall 2017: Continuing watercolor: must bring 100% cotton watercolor paper ( Arches, Kilimanjaro, Fabriano…).  Minimum set of transparent watercolor – recommendations are quinacridone rose, cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, aureolin yellow, burnt sienna by Windsor Newton, Van Gogh, QOr, Mission, Maimeriblu… Brushes: 1″ wash brush, #10, 12, or 14 round brush, rigger recommended brands are Simply Simmons or Simmons Sapphire series. Tape, board or tabletop easel, paper towels, masking fluid.  Come prepared with reference photos or sketches to use in class.
