Summer Art Camps offer youth and teens creative opportunities to try a new medium, develop as artist, and expand their art portfolio. Led by Art House instructors, the camps start on June 19 and run in weekly morning and afternoon sessions through the end of August. One-day workshops also offered. Space is limited so register early. Registration opens March 1 at 10 am.

A refund will be issued minus a 10% non-refundable deposit on ALL camps when cancelled 2 weeks or more before the first day of camp. Students who wish to cancel less than 2 weeks before the first day of camp are not eligible for a refund or credit.

Join us for an exciting paper sculpture class where kids will unleash their creativity by crafting intricate animal head sculptures from paper. Through hands-on exploration, children will learn techniques for manipulating paper to create shapes, forms, and textures that bring their imaginative creations to life. Our instructor will guide them through the process, fostering imagination and artistic expression every step of the way.

Learn how to draw and paint animals like elephants, monkeys, kittens, lizards and many more.

Experiment with COLOR including neon, metallic, and glow-in-the-dark paint, markers and pastels. We will also create tie dye and colorful clay projects.

Discover a variety of printmaking techniques, many of which use materials you already have around your house. We‘ll learn basic forms of printmaking including stamps, monoprints, screenprints, and more!

Take an artistic journey across the USA. Explore the animals, scenery and landmarks of America with acrylic paint, watercolor, pastels, markers, clay, yarn and beads.

Explore fun and functional projects like jewelry making, soapmaking, and fabric painting. Design and sew your own stuffy on the last day of camp.

We will look at art by famous artists and not so famous artists for our inspiration. Projects will include: acrylic paint, pastels, water color, clay and found object sculptures.

Learn strategies and techniques to improve your drawing skills including sketching outside, drawing from still lifes and from images. On the last day of camp students will use these techniques to draw their own subject matter with the drawing media of choice. We will use pencil, colored pencil, charcoal, pastels, pen and ink and watercolor.

Join our fun art class in downtown Northville, MI! Learn urban sketching, capturing real-life scenes with spontaneous drawing. Bring a lawn chair for outdoor sessions; in case of rain, we’ll meet at the Gallery at The Art House . Let’s explore Northville’s streets and beyond, creating art and memories together!

Use colored pencils, acrylic paint, water color and pastels to explore the plants, flowers and animals of the rain forest like the toucan, sloth, jaguar and colorful frogs.
