Have you heard of painting with Cold Wax? Do you like to paint and play, explore and experiment? Do you like texture and pattern and creating multiple layers in your work? Do you want to explore creating abstracts or perhaps you just desire to loosen up your subject matter and style? Then this is the class for you! Cold wax is added to your oil paints giving them a thicker, fluffier texture and speedier drying time. Cold-wax is non-toxic, affordable and easy to work with. We will learn the basics of working with cold wax, exploring a variety of additive and subtractive techniques all the while learning how to create successful abstracts or working more realistically if that is your style preference. Painting with cold wax will leave your mind exploding with new creative possibilities. If you are already an oil painter, only a few additional supplies will get you started with this new medium.
