This Color Theory and Mixing Workshop is designed for beginner to intermediate artists with a desire to learn more about color and how to mix it. Understanding color, your pigments, and color mixing is an essential skill for all artists.
In this workshop, we will learn color theory for successful paintings. We will create our own color wheel and value scale that will become an invaluable reference tool every time you paint. We will learn how to mix the exact color you desire, how to mix grays and the importance of using good color temperature, saturation and grays in your paintings.
See supply list for specifics, but please no student grade or economy paints. You simply cannot learn about pigments with colors that contain fillers. You will find much more success and joy with higher quality paint. Golden for Acrylic and Gamblin (1980 is okay) for Oil are my suggested brands, Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or other brands that you have and are unsure of quality.
