As a stimulus to the imagination, method of investigation, or a basic means of communication, drawing is a fundamental process of human thought. This course will continue to introduce fundamental drawing techniques such as perspective (linear and atmospheric), specific techniques used in graphite rendering, and to explore dynamic mark making, contours, and shading beyond the basics. Sasha will meet the needs of advanced beginners through Intermediate skills level students through many unique aspects of the art and science of drawing. All students must pay a fee of $5 for instructor provided materials.

Strathmore 400 Drawing Pad at least 9×12 (or similar brand)
Set Staedtler Lumograph Drawing and Sketching Pencils (2H – 6B or 8B)
Set of Charcoal pencils (optional)
Tortillon or blending stump
Or students can purchase a set of drawing pencils, eraser and tortillon from the instructor. $15 payable through PayPal or Venmo on the first day of class – while supplies last.
