In this drawing class students will use simple materials found at home to create a beautiful Spring-themed scene. Students will explore nature and learn about proportions, layering, texture, and shading.
Materials: pencil, eraser, paper, crayons, markers, or colored pencils

Register: April 30 | Theme: Georgia O’Keeffe sunny sunflower: in this class we will learn about the dynamic style of a famous artist, and recreate her sunflower. Concepts of composition and how to shade yellows.
Register: May 7 | Theme: Pop Art – After studying the styles of famous pop art artists and their work, you will have fun creating your own pop art piece, inspired by “Flying Fries” by Ron Magnes.
Register: May 14 | Theme: Pen and Ink Seashells – Even though we can’t go to the beach we can still draw a collection of seashells and explore mark making with pens to shade and add texture.
Register: May 21 | Theme: Van Gogh Landscape – Recreate his Wheatfield with Cypress painting and learn about Van Gogh and his unique style as we copy this Master painting.
