Online classes offer kids, teens, and adults the opportunity to experiment, learn, and develop art skills on any device. Classes, led by Art House instructors, are streamed through the video conference tool Zoom. KIDS


Class: Children’s Drawing and Painting – Online
Dates:  Monday, November 2, 9 & 16 | Time:   5:30 – 7 pm (1.5 hours)
Ages: 5-8 years old
Instructor: Sasha Roberts-Levi

Fee Returning Students: (M) $54; (NM) $60: Students who have taken Sasha’s First session.This is a perfect class for the difficult times we find ourselves in. School has taken so many different forms this fall – and many children will need a real artistic outlet. Educator and artist, Sasha will developmentally teach the fundamentals of drawing and painting with watercolors, while keeping in mind the joy of self-expression. Each class encourages students’ creativity while learning about color, value, composition, and more. Students will build on skills learned each week to create a landscape, still life, and nature art pieces. There is no experience necessary – all skill levels of artists are welcome!

 


TEENS


Title of Class: Teen Drawing Class with pencil, colored pencil & pen

Each week we will explore a different subject matter based on class interest and need to further improve drawing skills. Subjects in the past have been animals, still life, 2 point perspective, landscape, floral…Step by step instruction on seeing shapes and values. Completing a drawing, and then colored pencil or pen techniques.

Title of Class: Teen Beginning Watercolor Online
Day: Mondays | 4-Week Session  Time: 4:30 – 6:00 pm

Students Learn the basics of watercolor and have fun at the same time! This class is designed for those who want to learn the basics of watercolor. Students will learn how to paint wet on wet, wet on dry, combo, washes and various painting techniques such as layering.

This class is for those students who’ve already taken a beginner’s course and would like to continue practicing their skills as a watercolor artist. Focus will be on composition, sketching, harmony of elements, and some color theory and mixing. Instructions for joining and material suggestions will be emailed individually after registering.

Title of Class: Acrylic and Oil Painting Studio Zoom Workshop

Students who are looking for a community of artists will paint from home in a group setting online. Students will work on their own projects. Nancy will guide participant, giving personal instruction and support along with some creative camaraderie. Nancy will give demos and technique lessons each week in Acrylics and Oils. Title of Class: Mindful Watercolor Harmony Zoom Workshop #2: Zen Doodle / Slow Drawing

Join us for this four-week workshop! Educator, artist, and color connoisseur, Sasha, will guide you through a variety of slow-drawing exercises to boost your design confidence and expand your knowledge of art as a mindful practice. Zen Doodle (or Tangle) is known to many artists and craftivists as a way to create structured designs through drawing various patterns. Some people call it slow-drawing because of its mindful nature. Whatever you want to call it, the result is a calming, relaxing, and satisfying process of drawing with pen and watercolor to create wonderful small pieces that can be used as a greeting card, bookmarks, or texture swatches for larger paintings. This workshop will be a delicious hors-d’oeuvre for your watercolor mindful painting practice! Come join our creative community!

If you can write your name in cursive, you can draw! Learn artistic technique (line, form, shading, and more), engage your authentic self-expression, and feel encouraged to BE YOU! Improving your artistic skills and knowledge are inextricably tied to learning how to draw what you see, not what you think you see. This course teaches artistic techniques to identify and harness one’s intuition through engaging “drawing on the right side of the brain” techniques. In this warm, non-competitive class you will learn the fundamentals of drawing and how to express yourself fully and feel the freedom and joy of your inner creativity!

Title of Class: Continuing Watercolors Online

This class is for those who have had previous classes and experience with watercolor. Based on class needs for learning different scenes and techniques, the instructor will prepare a lesson and teach step by step how to complete.

Materials: transparent watercolors ( your preferred brand or brands) and palette, 1” wash brush, round brush, rigger, old brush for masking. Board, tape, hairdryer, water container, towels or rags, masking or frisket, paper, pencil, kneaded eraser. 140# all-cotton watercolor paper ( Arches, Fabriano, Kilimanjaro…)- cold press or rough.

Title of Class: Beginning Watercolors Online

Learn the basics of the beautiful medium of watercolor! Each lesson you will paint a scene that will incorporate most of the basic techniques such as washes, masking, glazing, creating textures. No drawing skills required- lesson plans will be emailed or simple line drawings presented during the class.
