The Northville Art House is proud to provide quality art instruction in a variety of artistic mediums through classes, workshops and camps. Combining education, experience and talent, our instructors have helped thousands of students, young and old, learn new artistic skills and unleash their creativity. Independent Contracted Professional Artists & Art Teachers 

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, and accomplished artist instructors who have a passion for sharing their art with children and adults, ages 5 and up. Teaching artists with a four-year degree in the arts are generally preferred, but all artists with experience will be considered. The selected candidates will have significant input in the class and/or workshop lessons and themes with focus typically on developing appreciation and skills in the areas of painting, drawing, printmaking, hand-sculpture, photography, fiber arts, graphic design, and mixed-media. We are seeking instructors who are flexible, love working with individuals of all ages, can teach art in new and interesting ways, and are passionate about community building. Independent Contracted Art Instructors

Camp Counselor – Hourly pay – Must be 16 or older

Junior Art Instructor – Hourly pay – Must be 18 or older

As an Art Instructor or Camp Counselor, you will be an active participant in all camp activities and will assist our Education Director with a variety of daily tasks, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for our campers. You will be directly responsible for implementing weekly Art activities, in coordination with the Education Director, as well as assisting with all camp activities when not leading your specific program. Our Counselors and Art Instructors interact with our campers throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, try new things, and generally caring for their well-being. The role of a Counselor and Instructor is to participate, build relationships and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.
