Stories in Stitches: Fabric Art Exhibition showcases the wonders of fiber art through 34 artworks by 24 artists. Each artist transformed fiber into a medium for storytelling, using techniques such as quilting, weaving, embroidery, stitching, and more. The artwork offers a unique window into each artist’s perspective, inviting viewers to connect with the universal power of narrative. The stories are personal, historical, imaginative and emotional. Exhibition juror Joan Potter Thomas is a mixed media artist focusing in fiber and textiles as well as miniature art. Thomas received her BA from the University of Michigan and her MA from the College of William and Mary. Her award-winning work has been exhibited across the country and featured in several national publications.
