Small Works Juried All-Media Exhibition

November 11 – December 17, 2022

The Northville Art House presents this annual open juried exhibition to showcase compelling 2D and 3D artworks on a diminutive scale in all types of media including painting, drawing, ceramics, metalwork, photography, sculpture, mixed media and more. All works are required to be limited to 16 inches in any direction, including any frame. All works must be for sale.

Artists compete for $700 in awards for 1st – 4th Place: $300, $200, $100, and $50 plus Honorable Mention. The Northville Gallery will also be awarding an exhibition opportunity for one artist.

  • Artists, 18 and over, may submit a maximum of 6 original works of art created in any media
  • No prints and gicleé (unless original art), electronic/sound and video/film. 
  • Traditional printmaking accepted.
  • Artwork must be created within the last 5 years, and not previously exhibited at the Art House.
  • The maximum size of all artwork including the frame is 16” in any direction.
  • Artwork is required to be for sale.


Procedures: Artists submit info with images for each work labeled with LastName-Title.jpg. Max size 4 MB.

Fee: Non-refundable fees of $35 for non-members and $25 for Northville Art House members.

Deadline: All entries MUST be submitted by Sunday, September 11, 11:59 PM EST.


Notification of Acceptance: Artists will be notified by email on Monday, October 3 by 5 pm.

Live @ 5 Opening Reception: Saturday, November 12, 5 – 8 pm with Awards Presentation at 7:00 pm.

Delivery & Dates:

  • Pre-paid shipped artwork should arrive on or before Wednesday, November 2.
  • Hand-delivered artwork drop-off times are Tuesday & Wednesday, November 1 – 2, 11 am – 4 pm
  • Email to schedule a prior delivery date and time if necessary.


  • Artwork should be labeled with name and title. A temporary label will be provided upon acceptance.
  • Accepted works that differ dramatically from the submitted images may be refused.
  • All costs, including packing, shipping and liability for damage, are the artist’s responsibility.
  • A pre-paid return label, stamps or payment for shipped artwork must be included

  • All artwork not purchased must remain in the exhibition through December 17 at 1 pm, close of exhibition.
  • Unsold artwork may be picked-up on Saturday, Dec. 17, 1 – 3 pm & Monday, Dec. 19, 10 am – 12 pm
  • Purchased artwork may be picked-up by customers starting the Week of December 5 to encourage sales.
  • Artists may call or email ahead to authorize a representative to pick-up their work.
  • Return artwork will be packed in the same or similar materials and shipped by December 20.
  • Artwork not picked up 30 days after the exhibition will be considered abandoned and become the property of the Art House.


Presentation: Artwork must be in excellent condition, ready for secure installation, and properly labeled before delivery. All 2D work must be framed and ready for hanging with hooks and a wire. Sawtooth hangers are not accepted. Canvases may be framed, wrapped or have painted sides. All 3D work must be free standing, stand on a pedestal, or hang securely with wire or rod. Art Sales: A 35% commission will be charged on all art for sale.

Terms and Conditions: Submissions to the exhibition shall constitute an agreement to comply with terms and conditions set forth in the call for entries, entry form and in the Art Exhibition and Sales Agreement.
