Shannon Karol has over 18 years of museum experience, designing tours, and public programs that encourage visitors of all ages to discover connections with the artworks on view. Most recently, she served as the Director of Museum Education and Community Engagement at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. She has also held positions at the Speed Art Museum in Louisville, KY, the Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Dallas Museum of Art. A graduate of Northville High School, Shannon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History and English from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s Degree in Art History from the University of Iowa.

Exhibitions, Store, Marketing, and Membership

Ryan Kaltenbach has been with the Northville Art House since 2014, currently serving as Creative Director. In this role, he oversees the exhibition program, marketing and promotion, and membership development, fostering meaningful engagement between artists, audiences, and the community. With over 15 years of experience in the arts and culture sector, Ryan is a leader dedicated to curating transformative artistic experiences. Prior to joining the Northville Art House, he served as Deputy Director and Collection Manager at the Saginaw Art Museum, where he helped expand access to the museum’s collections and exhibition programs. Ryan holds a degree from Kalamazoo College and a certification from Northwestern University. Beyond his professional work, he is an active visual artist specializing in painting and digital media. Passionate about fostering creativity and community connections, he also dedicates time to volunteering, traveling, and outdoor pursuits, including running, hiking, golf, and tennis.

Special Events and Public Programs

Meg Norris is an events manager with more than two decades of experience creating engaging experiences across the arts, entertainment, and nonprofit sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications and Video Production from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, where she developed a foundation in design, storytelling, and creative collaboration. Throughout her career, Meg has managed artist hospitality, coordinated large-scale public events, and cultivated meaningful relationships between organizations, artists, and their communities.
