Volunteer

The Northville Art House is seeking volunteers! Volunteering is a wonderful way to support the arts, meet new people, and make a difference in our community.

We welcome youth, teen, and adults volunteers and those needing to satisfy civic or school requirements. Service projects such as Eagle Scout projects, are also appreciated.

Whether you have an hour or two to help at an event or wish to join a committee, we welcome any interest level! Be a pART of it!

September 19,  11 am – 2 pm | Painting with Paws

We need animal lovers to help us guide dog paws onto paper, and creative artists to transform those prints into stunning works of art. Come make art and memories with our furry friends at this “pawsome” event! 

VOLUNTEER ROLES NEEDED

Paw Print Assistants:

  • Guide dogs and owners through the station.
  • Apply safe, washable non-toxic paint to paws.
  • Carefully press paw prints onto watercolor paper.
  • Clean up paws gently with pet wipes.

Watercolor Artists:

  • Use fresh paw prints as the base shape.
  • Paint creative designs around the prints.
  • Turn simple tracks into matted art pieces.

Friday, October 10, 5 – 8 pm | Oakwood Cemetery Tours

The Northville Art House and Northville Historical Society are looking for passionate volunteers to help pull off the magical “If Stones Could Talk” Oakwood Cemetery Tours. If you love local history, community events, or the performing arts, we have a spot for you!

We are currently looking to fill essential roles, including:
  • Guides: Lead tour groups from the Art House through the historic cemetery stops.
  • Greeters & Bartenders: Welcome guests, check them in, and help serve drinks at the Art House.
  • Costumed Actors: Step into the past and portray real historic Northville residents! (Victorian-era costumes required; scripts provided).
