The Northville Art House is seeking volunteers! Volunteering is a wonderful way to support the arts, meet new people, and make a difference in our community.
We welcome youth, teen, and adults volunteers and those needing to satisfy civic or school requirements. Service projects such as Eagle Scout projects, are also appreciated.
Whether you have an hour or two to help at an event or wish to join a committee, we welcome any interest level! Be a pART of it!

The Art House is seeking models to pose during figure drawing classes this fall. Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 6-8 pm. Models will hold a variety of poses during the class, with short breaks given between poses.
Models will be compensated $25/hour, and are asked to wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing like t-shirts, tank tops, leggings, and/or leotards. Additional information will be shared via email prior to the class session.
Opportunities include assisting with art activities during Victorian Festival and Halloween Hysteria at Mill Race Village 215 Griswold St, Northville as well as during Northville Nite at Mars Gans Park, 15801 Beck Rd, Northville Twp, with Northville Parks & Rec. We are also looking for help passing out treats to kids with autism during Trunk or Treat at We Rock the Spectrum, 22064 Novi Rd, Novi.
Painting with Paws is an exciting creative experience where pet owners bring their pet’s to the Northville Art House to have an artist transform a print of their pet’s paw into a completed work of art. Volunteers assist with paw prints, which will involve painting pets’ paws and stamping them on paper, and as artists transform those paw prints through painting with watercolor into unique works of art.
Volunteers will be at the Skeletons Are Alive event in Downtown Northville promoting tours for the Art House/Mill Race If Stones Could Talk: Oakwood Cemetery Tours event. Volunteers are asked to dress in Victorian era fashion.
Step beyond the iron gates of Oakwood Cemetery and experience the historic side of Northville as actors share the storied pasts of those residing in Oakwood Cemetery. Volunteer as a greeter welcoming guests and checking them in for their tour, as a guide welcoming guests and taking them to the cemetery and through the tour stops, as an actor bringing to life a historic person, dressed in Victorian-era clothing.
