The Northville Art House welcomes the public to the 12th annual, 3-day Arts and Acts Festival featuring unique fine artisans and crafters in the Art in the Sun Juried Art Fair as well as the annual Short on Words and Chalk Festival events. We invite everyone to safely support our festival artists, vendors, and local businesses and community partners. Be a pART of it!
Northville Art House Inc. is 501(c)3 non-profit art facility where artists and the community come together to gain exposure and appreciation for the visual arts, experiment and learn art techniques, and unleash their imagination and self-expression in exciting ways!
All proceeds for the Arts and Acts Festival help the Northville Art House fulfill its mission to cultivate the Arts through creative experiences and educational programs in the Metro Detroit community. Be a pART of it!
Free and open to the public. The Chalk Festival requires registration and a small fee.
The 2022 Arts and Acts Festival is plan to be held on N Wing Street (between W. Main and Dunlap) and W. Main (Between N. Wing and Center). Downtown Northville’s Social District, The Twist, is currently adjacent to the festival with a number of restaurants with expanded outdoor dining, weekend Food Stands, Dining pods, cocktails to go and shopping. Several parking areas are located with within walking distance of the festival in historic Downtown Northville.

The Arts and Acts Festival will follow all current COVID-19 City of Northville, State of Michigan, and CDC guidelines with face coverings recommended to be worn by unvaccinated visitors for the protection of everyone. Visitors are asked to keep a safe social distance from others, avoid standing in crowded areas, and wash their hands frequently. Hand washing stations and sanitizer will be available throughout the festival. Thank you!
Northville Square, located at 133 W Main St, east of the festival, is the designated evacuation center in case of a tornado and extreme weather.
There is free public parking in Downtown Northville in several parking lots and street spots within walking distance of the festival.

Art in the Sun showcases contemporary art, handicraft work, and unique creations by fine artists and crafters from Michigan and around the country competing for monetary awards based on original artwork and booth presentation. Artists are selected by jury made up of Northville Art House staff, artists, instructors, collectors and community leaders.
Arts and Acts features a number of family-friendly art activities through partnerships with local artists, business and community organizations including the annual Short on Words and Chalk Festival events as well as the new Paws for Applause Dog Show.
At the Chalk Festival artists transform the pavement into a checkered pattern of color and imagination while visitors can view a variety of chalk art at their feet, then vote online for their favorite!
