OUR PLACES: Plein-Air Exhibition
August 2 – 23, 2024
Outdoor places reveal extraordinary colors, textures, and design. Some places are far away, while others are outside your back door. A favorite place connects you with nature and can bring you happiness, creativity, and comfort. Artists are invited to paint their favorite outdoor places at any time and at a location of choice between May 21 – July 21 with up to three artworks to be included in the exhibition.
Awards: 1st-4th Place: $300, $200, $100, and $50; Honorable Mention Awards
Reception: Live @ 5, Friday, August 2, 5 – 8 pm with Awards Presentation at 6:00 pm

GUIDELINES
This is a first-come first-serve exhibition with approximately 40 artists to be accepted to create an unlimited amount of work with up to three artworks, not to exceed 38 inches including frame, accepted for inclusion as determined by the artist.
Eligibility: Artists, 18 and over, in the continental U.S.
ONLINE ENTRY INFORMATION
Artists are asked to submit a recent plein-air artwork for promotional purposes.
Fee: Non-refundable fees of $40 for non-members and $30 for Northville Art House members.
Deadline: Sunday, June 30 at 11:59 PM EST or until maximum 40 capacity reached.
Terms and Conditions: Submissions to the exhibition shall constitute an agreement to comply with terms and conditions set forth in the call for entries, entry form, and in the Art Exhibition and Sales Agreement.

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Artists notified immediately of acceptance with an additional email notification on Tuesday, July 2.
PAINT OUT: May 21 – July 21
Artists can paint any outdoor place at any time and at any location between May 21 – July 21.
AUTHENTICATION STAMPS
Stamped Artwork: Each artwork to be exhibited is not to exceed 38 inches in any direction including frame and must have an authentication stamp visible on the back of surface to be eligible for exhibition.
Artist Check-in: Authentication stamps will be available at the Northville Art House on the following dates:
- Tuesdays – Thursdays, May 21 – July 3, 10 am – 3 pm; Other times by appointment only. No stamps available July 4 – July 14.
ART DELIVERY
Artists may deliver up to three artworks of their choice. Paintings on canvas/panel must either be framed, have the sides painted black, or with the subject matter continued on all sides. All works on paper work must be framed. Stamps should be visible. Please notify us if matting, backing, or frame will cover the back prior to delivery.
- Monday – Tuesday, July 22 – 23, 10 am – 3 pm; Prior times by appointment only.
- Gallery Closed: July 4 – July 14 & All Weekends in July. NO ART DELIVERY.

GALLERY HOURS AND RECEPTIONS
SUMMER GALLERY HOURS (July 1 – August 30): Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
OPENING RECEPTION: Live @5, Friday, August 2, 5 – 8 pm with awards presentations at 6:00 pm.
Guests meet artists and listen to live music as they stroll through the galleries at this indoor and outdoor event. Live music, light fare, and cash bar. Artists are free with $5 guest tickets at the door.

ART SALES
A 35% commission will be charged on all art for sale. Artwork is preferred to be for sale but not required. Payment 30 days following end of exhibition. W-9 Form (page 1) required.
ART PICK-UP
- Friday, August 23, 3:30 pm – 5 pm
- Saturday, August 24, 10 am – 1 pm
Artists may have a representative pick-up their work. Other times by appointment. Art not picked up after 30 days is considered abandoned and becomes Art House property.
