What is a Memory Cafe? According to the Memory Cafe Alliance, Memory Cafes are welcoming social gatherings for people living with changes in their memory or thinking, and the people who care about them. A Cafe is a place to have fun together, talk with others who understand what you’re going through, and express yourself creatively by trying something new!
The Art House program will be called “Creative Connections,” and will feature two Memory Cafes each month: one focused on visual arts, and one focused on music. Each Creative Connections program will feature refreshments and time for socialization, a guided activity in the Art House gallery, and a hands-on workshop.
Beginning in January, the Northville Art House will offer two Memory Cafe programs each month:
Visual Arts Memory Cafe – Mondays, 1:30-3 pm
Musical Memory Cafe – Thursdays, 1:30-3 pm
Advanced registration for this free program is encouraged so we can be sure to have enough supplies.
Thanks to the funding from CultureSource, this program is completely free to attend.
