Youth Classes, Ages 5 – 17

Youth Classes and Workshops for ages 5-17 and offer the opportunity to experiment, learn, and develop art skills in small classroom sizes. Instruction includes drawing, painting, mixed media, sewing, singing, and more. Programs are led by Art House instructors and offered in daily or weekly sessions. Classes limited to 10-12 students.

REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY

A refund will be issued minus a 10% non-refundable deposit on ALL classes and workshops when cancelled 48 hours or more before the first class or workshop starts. Students who wish to cancel less than 48 hours before the first day of class are not eligible for a refund or credit.

Neurographic Fashion Lab: Mindful Tote Bag Design for ages 10-18

Materials included

Express yourself, unwind, and design your new favorite accessory! This high-concept workshop introduces students to neurographic art—a meditative drawing method that uses flowing lines and softened intersections to promote deep mindfulness, stress relief, and emotional well-being. Using a ready-made canvas tote bag as their canvas, students will sketch, ink, and paint their own unique, organic patterns using professional fabric markers and vibrant acrylics. To complete the designer look, students will have the opportunity to style and attach creative trims and patches to personalize their bag. Led by a professional fashion designer and holistic life coach, this high-concept workshop offers a unique space for students to express themselves, unwind, and design a customized accessory. 

Color Explosion Workshop for ages 6-9

Drawing and Painting: Dragons Workshop for ages 8-12

Adult/Child Printmaking Play Workshop for ages 8-12

Materials included

Join us to experiment with printmaking processes that rely on materials commonly found around the house. From styrofoam plates to erasers to curtain sheers, you’ll be surprised to discover what you can create with simple everyday materials. Each participant will leave with a series of monoprints, their own personalized stamp, and custom screen-printed tote bag. 

Preschool Playdate: Goodbye Autumn, Hello Winter for ages 2-5

Join the Northville Art House for a new monthly program designed for preschoolers (ages 2-5) and their favorite grown-up. Each month we’ll read a story, look at artworks, and create a special art project inspired by what we have seen.  

In December, we’re partnering with the Plymouth Pollinators and reading Goodbye Autumn, Hello Winter by Kenard Pak.

Give the gift of unique, handmade art this season! Young artists will create several arts and crafts projects ready to gift to the special people in their lives. Students will even make their own wrapping paper and gift tags in this one-day workshop.

It’s that candy cane and gingerbread time of year! Come join Sweetflour LLC for a gingy good time decorating these cute Christmas themed sweet treats with your little sugarplum! You and your child will enjoy making memories as you each design and decorate your very own set of cookies! All supplies are provided with this class including all icing ready to decorate with and a box to take your yummy confections home in!
