Artist Opportunities

The Northville Art House presents juried, invitational and open call exhibitions in the Exhibition Gallery and Emerging Artist Wall. An Exhibition Committee, made up of artists, art instructors, staff and community leaders, plans and reviews the applications. Opening receptions are planned for each exhibition.

CURRENT


February 18 – March 19: Annual Members’ Exhibition

Held in appreciation of members, this annual exhibition showcases the talents of our current member artists through original works created in a variety of media and styles. The Members’ Choice Awards recognize favorite artworks selected by fellow Art House members and patrons. Artists must have be a valid membership through March 1, 2022. 

Deadline: Sunday, January 30 at 11:59 pm EST

March 22 – April 9: NPS Student Virtual Art Exhibition

First held in 1999, the exhibition features artwork created in a variety of media and styles by young artists in Grades 6 – 12 from the Northville Public Schools. This year the exhibition will once again be presented online. 

Deadline: Sunday, March 6, 11:59 PM EST.


April 22 – May 21: Go With the Flow: Juried Alcohol Ink Exhibition

The Northville Art House is seeking artwork created by artists, 18 and older and residing in the United States, applying alcohol ink to ceramic, glass, tile, metal, plastic, synthetic paper, and other nonporous materials.

Deadline: Sunday, February 27, 11:59 PM EST.

The following opportunities is available throughout the year and are typically booked over a year in advance.  If accepted, all artists are required to become members of the Art House before the exhibition.

EXHIBITION GALLERY: Solo, Two-Person and Group Exhibitions

The Northville Art House offers a floorplan of 780 sq. ft. / 110 running ft. for solo, two-person, and group exhibitions. Each exhibition typically runs about four weeks and opens with a public reception.

Artists please read and follow the Terms and Conditions with recommended Presentation Standards for all exhibitions.

EMERGING ARTIST WALL: Emerging Artists Exhibitions

The Emerging Artist Wall, measuring 8’ x 8’, offers artists without significant exhibition experience to gain exposure of their 2D work. Each exhibition typically runs seven to eight weeks and and opens with a public reception.
